GRIZZ
Recently I received a letter from the
previous owner of Grizz, Mrs. Hill. It was in response to my writing them
to ask for the history of the coach and the name Grizz. I was saddened to
hear that Mr. Guy Hill had passed away April 16th. It has been
brought to my attention on several occasions, by some fellow Marathon owners and
Marathon employees, that Mr. Hill was a well liked and respected man.
The nickname Grizz was given to him by his children, without his knowledge, when
they were kids. When they became adults and told him about it, he adopted
the name for use on his beloved coaches.
