Welcome to the ‘Bercume’ Web Site

Here they are - my grandparents the Bercumes.

For some reason, we never talked about my mother’s family when we were together.  Could be we didn’t spend enough time together as adults.  At this point that isn’t important. What is important is; my mother is now 90 years of age. Sandy (my other half) has been generous with her time working with my mother and Ancestry to dig up the maternal family history. Here it is as she provides it to me.    Joe Bottieri

UPDATE: My mom passed away at 95 on February 15th, 2016. She fell on February 9th and did serious cerebral damage. We put her right in Hospice that same day. Fortunately one day she woke and said hello to me and my sister, then went back to sleep and never woke again. My stepfather Ray, passed a few months later.

For years I’ve wondered the history of my mother’s family.

This is their story!
